State Police arrest three following Hudson Falls traffic stop

On April 20, 2024, State Police arrested Patrick M. Mcguire, 42, of Hudson Falls, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the fifth degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree, Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the second degree, Driving While Ability Impaired by drugs and another Vehicle and Traffic Law Violation.

Samantha L. Briggs, 28, of Hudson Falls, NY, and Christopher J. Clark, 32, of Hudson Falls, NY, were also each arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the fifth degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the second degree.

On April 20, 2024, at about 6:18 p.m., while conducting an impaired driver detail, State Police of Wilton stopped a vehicle on John Street in Hudson Falls, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Mcguire, and the passengers as Briggs and Clark. The investigation discovered narcotics and glass smoking devices in the vehicle containing drug residue.

All three were taken into custody and transported to SP Wilton for processing. Mcguire was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), and a blood sample was taken to determine the drug content of his blood. Mcguire, Briggs, and Clark were all transported to the Washington County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
