Breaking Barriers - Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Latin America and the Caribbean

Currently, some 85 million people with disabilities live in Latin America and the Caribbean, representing 14.7% of the regional population. Data indicate that households where people with disabilities live are poorer and 1 in 5 households living in extreme poverty has a person with a disability.
