BUTLER COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

Through the week ending May 4, 2024: The following traffic advisory includes restrictions on the state highway system in Butler County. All work will be contingent upon the weather. NEW IMPACT

S.R. 4 Bridge Repair/Resurfacing - Between the cities of Hamilton and Middletown. Single-lane closures on S.R. 4 South, between S.R. 747 and S.R. 63, will be in place daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. S.R. 4 North is reduced to one lane between Rochester Hills Drive and Roden Park Drive/Jerry Couch Boulevard until Monday, May 6, when it will be closed for a bridge replacement, and traffic will be diverted by way of a crossover to southbound S.R. 4 and maintained in one, 11-foot lane in each direction by way of a contraflow lane. In addition, Lesourdsville West Chester Road will be closed at its junction with northbound S.R. 4, and traffic will be detoured by way of Kyles Station Road and S.R. 747. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2025.

S.R. 128 Landslide Repair - Between Hine Road and the city of Hamilton corporation limit. Construction will begin Friday, May 17, and traffic will be maintained by temporary signals. The project also includes resurfacing S.R. 128 between New Haven Road in Hamilton County and the Hamilton corporation limit; this will begin once landslide remediation has been completed. All work is scheduled to be completed in November 2024.

CONTINUING IMPACTS

Cincinnati-Dayton Road Shared Use Path - Between Liberty Way/Hamilton Mason Road and Yankee Road. Construction of a pedestrian and bicycle path, as well as curb ramps and crosswalks at the S.R. 129 ramp intersections. Cincinnati-Dayton Road will be subject to single-lane closures daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and throughout most of the project, traffic will be maintained on adjacent roadways with intermittent lane and shoulder restrictions. Access to properties will also be maintained during construction. All work is scheduled to be completed in late summer.

U.S. 27 Bridge Rehabilitation - At structures over S.R. 128 (Hamilton-Cleves Road). Traffic will be maintained through the work zone in a minimum of one lane in either direction. All work is scheduled to be completed in October 2024.
