CWB Financial Group donates $20,000 to BC fire relief efforts

Edmonton, July 7, 2021 - CWB Financial Group (CWB) will make a $20,000 donation to the United Way British Columbia - United for BC Wildfire Recovery Fund.

'Wildfires across British Columbia have affected and displaced thousands of people, including those that reside in communities in which we live and work,' says Blaine Forer, Senior VP & Regional General Manager, BC Region. 'Our people first value guides us to take care of our employees, clients and those impacted by these devastating fires. We're committed to helping those who require support and know that this donation to a long-standing charitable partner will contribute to immediate and long-term relief.'

CWB will help clients impacted by the fires and will review circumstances on a case-by-case approach. Affected clients are encouraged to contact their relationship manager to discuss possible options.

CWB banking centres will accept public donations for the Canadian Red Cross from July 7 - 28, 2021.
