FTI Consulting Adds Four Senior Professionals to Health Solutions Practice

Washington, D.C., Aug. 16, 2022 - FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced continued investment in its Health Solutions practice with the appointment of Nicole Kaufman, Jonathan Myers, Ugo Okpewho and Scott Banken as Managing Directors.

Wayne Gibson, Leader of the Healthcare Payers team within the Health Solutions practice at FTI Consulting, said, "I am pleased to welcome these four outstanding healthcare professionals to our practice. Ms. Kaufman, who is based in Denver, has more than a decade of experience with Medicaid policy, operations and regulations at the federal and state level. In her role at FTI Consulting, Ms. Kaufman will support payers and providers with timely information and analysis to inform strategic decisions within the dynamic healthcare marketplace, with a focus on public health programs and the private insurance market.

Mr. Myers, who is based in Washington, D.C., brings to FTI Consulting more than 10 years of experience in federal and state compliance, program oversight and performance monitoring, data analytics, quality assessments, program integrity assessment, managed care, Medicaid policy and regulation, operational improvement assessments, procurement, operational readiness reviews, capabilities assessments, and mental health parity.

Mr. Okpewho, who is based in New York, has more than 20 years of diverse healthcare experience at insurance companies, public accounting and benefits consulting firms. He has performed several actuarial and management roles within firms involving pricing, reserving and forecasting related to the commercial and government health markets. He also has experience assisting healthcare providers with risk contracting, return-on-investment modeling on disease management programs, and mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Banken, who is based in Minneapolis, brings nearly 30 years of experience as a certified public accountant, with 20 years focused on health insurance, Medicaid and value-based reimbursement. Mr. Banken has consulted with several state governments on the oversight of their Medicaid managed care plans to ensure compliance with federal regulations and efficiently utilize reporting from managed care plans for oversight and regulatory reporting. He also brings experience in cost reporting and developing value-based reimbursement strategies for managed care organizations and providers.
