Cooks and Cashiers Hiring Night offers opportunities for people seeking hospitality jobs

Tampa International Airport is hosting another opportunity for job-seekers looking for a position at a retail shop or restaurant.

Cooks and Cashiers Hiring Night will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, at the Airport's Main Terminal on Level 3, between the shuttles for Airsides E and F.

The networking-style event will host cooking demonstrations, socializing and on-the-spot employment opportunities at the Airport's eateries, bars, coffee shops and retailers.

"As TPA continues to expand its retail hours, our vendors have more jobs to fill," TPA Senior Manager of Concessions Nina Mahoney said. "Hiring events like this offer job-seekers a chance to explore as many options as possible in a fun and welcoming atmosphere."

Potential applicants don't need previous experience to attend, and many employers offer training.

Registration for Cooks and Cashiers Hiring Night guests is not required. The Airport will validate parking in the long term garage for attendees.
