PM Mikati: "Views are similar, and there will be further discussions".

President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, met Prime Minister-designate, Najib Mikati, today at the Presidential Palace.

The future government formation was deliberated in the meeting.

Statement:

After the meeting, the Prime Minister-designate made the following statement:

"Last June 29, I presented to His Excellency a cabinet line-up.

In today's meeting, this formation was discussed, and there will be further discussion.

We will continue because I can say that the views are close".
