On Wednesday, August 28, at The Back Corner, BMI partnered for the first time on SynchBig!, a showcase series which was designed to highlight some of Nashville's top synching artists. Pictured at the event are: Michael August (Demolition), Spencer Nohe (BMI), Alissa Moreno (BAAM Collective), Keelan Donovan, Jamie Dryburgh (Demolition), Gatlin, Jason Walker, Anna Mae, Ashleigh Ellis (BAAM Collective). BMI 101 is a one-hour introductory workshop for anyone interested in learning more about the current role BMI plays in the complex world of the music industry. You'll spend the hour with two BMI Employees outlining the history of BMI, how to utilize our current services to the fullest extent and some basic 101 tips and tricks to handling your account.
When: September 24, October 29, 10:00-11:00 AM.

The American Songwriter Amateur Lyric Contest takes place six (6) times per year in conjunction with each issue of American Songwriter published.
Fee: $15 per lyric
Who: Contest is open to entrants in all countries.
Prize: First place winner receives a first class Gibson Guitar and a Shure SM58 Microphone.

The John Lennon Songwriting Contest is an international songwriting contest launched in 1997.
Fee: $30 per song
Who: Contest is open to amateur and professional songwriters in any one of 12 categories.
Prize: Prizes are awarded for different levels of achievement, such as Finalist, Grand Prize, Lennon Award and Song of the Year.
