Trump Lawsuit Mike Kelly Voted to Back Turns 1 Today
A year ago today the Trump Administration furthered their assault on health care by refusing to defend against a lawsuit that would gut protections for 130 million Americans with pre-existing conditions, explode the cost of insurance premiums and out of pocket costs, and charge older Americans an 'age tax' for their care.
Today's anniversary serves a reminder that Congressman Kelly voted to support the Trump Administration's decision - siding with big insurance companies who want to charge people with pre-existing conditions significantly more for their health care.
'No matter what Congressman Kelly says, he has a clear record of voting to raise health care costs by ripping away protections for Pennsylvanians and gutting protections for 298,500 of his constituents with preexisting conditions,' said DCCC Spokesperson Mike Gwin. 'With so many families struggling with the rising cost of health care and prescription drugs, it's shocking that Washington Republicans like Mike Kelly continue to put big health drug and insurance companies' profits ahead of hardworking Pennsylvanians.'
