The final planning conference of the Russian-Pakistani exercise Friendship-2021 was held in Goryachy Klyuch

The final planning conference of representatives of the armed forces of the Russian Federation and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on the preparation and conduct of the sixth joint Russian-Pakistani military exercise Friendship-2021 was held in Goryachy Klyuch (Krasnodar territory).

During the conference, the scenario of the exercise, the organization of logistics, including the order of accommodation and nutrition of personnel were agreed upon. In addition, the soldiers of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan got acquainted with the places of the exercise at the Molkino combined arms training ground of the Southern Military District (SMD).

The Friendship-2021 exercise will take place in September 2021 at the Molkino training ground in the Krasnodar territory. The servicemen of the two countries will exchange experience and work out the issues of interaction in the performance of a wide range of tasks, in particular, during the counter-terrorist operation, during reconnaissance, search and ambush operations to detect and destroy illegal armed formations in the context of widespread use of improvised explosive devices by the enemy.

The exercise is planned to involve about 80 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Pakistan and about 82 military personnel of the Southern Military District.

The plan for the combat training of the Southern Military District in 2021 provides for the participation of the district's military personnel in international exercises with units of the armed forces of Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Armenia, Algeria, India, Kazakhstan, Pakistan and Egypt.

International joint activities are carried out in accordance with the plan of international military cooperation and are aimed at strengthening and developing military cooperation between countries.

The joint Russian-Pakistani military exercise has been held since 2016. At the Molkino training ground in the Krasnodar territory, the event will be held for the second time, earlier the training at the training ground was organized in 2019.
