INS Chilka Runs in Collaboration with Mera Terah Run

As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Navy Week activities, INS Chilka, organised a 13 km run inside the base on 22 December 2021. 16 naval personnel along with 24 runners from Mera Terah Run organisation ran together to create awareness about the biodiversity of Chilka lake. The event was also aimed at raising fund for Iksha foundation which is actively involved in treatment of children suffering from retinoblastoma, a type of eye ailment. Commodore NP Pradeep, Commanding Officer INS Chilka flagged off the race. The event culminated with award of medals to the winners.
