Decree on the mandatory production, trade of bread adopted

At today's meeting, the government adopted the Decree on the mandatory production and sale of bread in order to protect the market and prevent deformations in the formation of the prices of this product, bearing in mind that in the price structure the largest part of the costs refers to flour, the price of which is changing.

Given that in the previous period there was a large increase in the prices of food items that are crucial for the nutrition of the population, the decree limited the margin on all other types of bread.

Bearing in mind that the margin is six percent, and that bread is mostly delivered directly to the retail trade, so that is the retailer's total margin, it was concluded that the price increase will not affect their business.

The government of Serbia, after consultation with representatives of producers and associations, at today's meeting adopted a package of measures related to the safe supply of wood assortments and price control of firewood and pellets.

On the initiative of the Ministry of Mining and Energy, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, the Ministry of Agriculture, storekeepers, pelleters, as well as the Forestry Administration, Public Company Srbijasume, the government passed the Decree on limiting the price of pellets, as well as the Decision on temporary ban on the export of pellets and certain wood assortments of essential importance for the Republic of Serbia.

The Decree on limiting the price of pellets, which was adopted with the aim of protecting the energy security of the Republic of Serbia, and which will be in force 90 days from the date of entry into force, stipulates that the maximum retail price of pellets must not exceed RSD 38,000 per ton in all packages.

The decision made it possible to export logs with special permits that will be submitted on a monthly basis to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management.

Permits submitted by the 15th of the month for the current month for the total amount of wood assortments planned for export will be issued for a period of two months.

At today's session, an amended decision was made on the temporary ban on the export of Euro diesel EN 590, which extends the ban for another seven days.

The Government of Serbia adopted the Strategy of Integrated Border Management in the Republic of Serbia for the period 2022-2027, with the Action Plan for the implementation of the Strategy for the period 2022-2024.

Bearing in mind that the strategic goal of the Republic of Serbia is full membership in the European Union, with this Strategy Serbia introduces a new concept of integrated border management with the aim of harmonising with the European acquis.
