Media invited to a photo opportunity for the unveiling of a plaque commemorating postal workers who lost their lives due to the COVID-19 pandemic

Friday, 9 October, 10:00-10:30, Universal Postal Union (UPU) headquarters Weltpoststrasse 4, 3015 Bern

UPU will mark World Post Day (9 October) by holding a ceremony to commemorate the courageousness and bravery of postal workers across the world who have continued to perform their essential services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the ceremony, UPU Director General Bishar A. Hussein will lead a moment of silence and unveil a plaque dedicated to postal workers who lost their lives in the pandemic.
