Military climbers of the Russian Federation will overcome a rocky area on the Elbrus Ring

In Kabardino-Balkaria, within the framework of the All-Russian stage of the Elbrus Ring competition, servicemen of the Armed Forces, the Federal Security Service and the National guard will perform the eighth special task Overcoming a rocky area of the terrain.

Military climbers of the Russian Federation will overcome a rocky section with a length of up to 150 m in the area of the Terskol glacier with an average angle of ascent of at least 45 degrees. The servicemen will perform tasks with standard weapons and in full equipment weighing about 30 kg.

After completing a special mission, the personnel in battle formation will move to the place of overnight stay along the route: rock Terskol - Rigel - Terskol pass - glacier of the Dzhikaukinkez plateau - Kalitsky peak - Ice Lake.

Also, during the next competition days of the second stage, the teams will have to perform special tasks Landing with a march, Overcoming the ice section (ascent), Overcoming the ice section (descent), Transportation of the victim.

In total more then 150 people are competing in tasks in highlands.

The all-army stage of the international competition for the best mountain unit Elbrus Ring-2021 is held in the Kabardino-Balkar Republic on the basis of the Center for mountain training and survival Terskol of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. It is attended by more than 150 servicemen of mountain units of the Russian law enforcement agencies in nine teams from military districts, Land Forces, the Northern Fleet, Airborne troops and the National guard. For the first time, a team from the Federal Protective Service participates in the competition. The competitions will end on August 4 this year.
