Anti-aircraft gunners of the Southern Military District have started receiving the latest S-350 Vityaz air defence systems

The anti-aircraft missile regiment of the 4th air force and air defence army of the Southern Military District (SMD) received a state-of-the-art anti-aircraft missile system S-350 Vityaz.

Combat crews of the complexes have started receiving equipment on the territory of the 4th state central interspecific training ground of the Russian Ministry of Defence Kapustin Yar.

In the near future, the anti-aircraft gunners of the Southern Military District will conduct missile launches, after which they will march to the area of combat duty.

The newest S-350 Vityaz air defence system is a reliable air defence system that allows to significantly increase the effectiveness of repelling enemy air strikes on the most important protected objects of the Southern Military District.

The new complex works in close cooperation with the S-300V4, S-400 and S-500 long-range systems designed to destroy long-range radar detection aircraft, as well as strategic and tactical aviation at a great distance.
