Zagreb: great beauty and Italian car design

Ambassador Sacco will open the exhibition "LA GRANDE BELLEZZA attraverso il design italiano dell'automobile" [The GREAT BEAUTY through Italian car design] on 12 May at the Technical Museum in Zagreb to celebrate the Italian Design Day 2022 in Croatia on such date.

The exhibition was organized by the Italian Embassy in Zagreb, the Italian Cultural Institute in Zagreb, and the Consulate General of Italy in Rijeka, in cooperation with MAUTO - Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile di Torino. For the event, they have envisaged a circuit between the venues in Croatia, stopping in Rijeka and Opatija in April, and then staying in Zagreb until 12 June.

The exhibition celebrates design in one of the sectors of excellence of Italian production and creativity, namely the automotive industry, by exhibiting three legendary cars from Italy's automotive history: the 1934 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300, the 1954 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint, and the 1980 Ferrari 308 GTB. Over a forty-year period, these three cars express the elegance of the style of three of Italy's greatest car designers: Touring, Bertone and Pininfarina.
