Troopers arrest a Wayland man for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree and other charges

On March 10, 2018 Troopers arrested Adam J. Wiley, 31, of Wayland, N.Y. for Criminal Possession of Weapon 3rd, a class 'D' Felony, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th, a class 'E' Felony, and Menacing 2nd, a class 'A' misdemeanor. Wiley was arrested after Troopers were dispatched to Scott St., Wayland for a reported disturbance. The investigation alleges that Wiley pointed a shotgun at an individual during a dispute. During the investigation, it was determined that Wiley was a convicted felon, and was not able to possess the shotgun. Further investigation showed that the shotgun Wiley possessed was reported stolen to the Steuben County Sheriff's Office in March of 2017. Wiley was arraigned in the town of Wayland court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail on $25,000/$50,000 bail.
