Interiors are dark and whimsical, setting the stage for some of America's top magicians, including Los Angeles-based hypnosis expert Nader Hanna and family entertainer Dr. Gary Flegal. It's a splashy spot, sprinkled with Art Deco influences and inspired by the private supper clubs of the Prohibition Era. Layer Cake Social Kitchen(SoBro)

Arguably Nashville's most Instagrammable experience, Layer Cake Social Kitchen was made for special celebrations. The sprawling, choose-your-own-adventure spot includes four floors (or "layers") of dining options and revelry. Begin on the ground floor, named The Wonder Room, featuring live music alongside a menu of starters such as pulled pork sliders and playful smaller bites including duck fat tater tots. On floor two, The Wonder Room's limited menu expands to accommodate a full-service dining room with globally-inspired bourbon-glazed salmon and Mongolian beef. The rooftop greets visitors with a sign reading, "Til' Death Do Us Party," setting the stage for Layer Cake's nightly DJs, bottle service, and large-format cocktails, ideal for group celebrations. Beneath it all sits "The Cherry Lounge," a mysterious, intimate hideaway, bookable for private events and small groups.

Sunda - Nashville (The Gulch)

Two-time Emmy award-winning television personality Billy Dec launched Sunda New Asian in Chicago in 2009. In 2018, he brought that modern Southeast Asian experience to Nashville. Inspired by Dec's travels, Sunda is a transportive special occasion spot. Designed to replicate a dinner party, the two-hour-plus experience requires a pre-booked ticket. The multi-course dinner menu rotates seasonally and may feature dishes such as dhokla (a steamed rice and lentil cake from northwestern India, where Surti's ancestors are from) and red snapper with coconut and Thai chiles; team members share the stories that inspired each plate. For a boozier celebration, upgraded dinner tickets offer drink pairings. The personalized space is an ode to Surti's family history: the crystal chandelier that decorated his childhood home serves as a striking focal point.

Red Pony Restaurant (Franklin/Brentwood)

Red Pony puts a sophisticated spin on contemporary Southern dining.
