City Council Swearing In Ceremony & Honors

At Monday night's City Council meeting on May 16, 2022, Judge Madison officially swore in Councilmember Jennifer Szimanski, Councilmember Kelly Brynteson and Councilmember Louis Mastrangelo. Councilmember Mastrangelo takes the oath of office for another term, while Councilmember Szimanski and Councilmember Brynteson take the oath for their first term. City Council also honored Steve Smith and Laurie Higginbotham (not present) for their many years serving the community on Lakeway City Council.

At the same meeting, City Council voted (6-0) to appoint Councilmember Gretchen Vance as mayor pro tem. Mayor Pro Tem Vance takes over the duty from Councilmember Louis Mastrangelo, who served as mayor pro tem from June 2021 through May 2022.
