Clifford Chance has advised ING, Rabobank and KfW IPEX on the portfolio financing of rooftop solar panel projects installed by Sunrock, the largest developer of solar roofs in the Netherlands. This financial growth step will enable Sunrock to further accelerate their ambitions to install solar panels on the majority of the large rooftops in the Netherlands and wider Europe. TheClifford Chance team worked together with the lenders and Sunrock on the entire structuring, including unique features of rolling in fixed rate loans in combination with floating rate loans. In addition, the team was heavily involved in the due diligence process and making the current suite of project documents future proof and bankable.
