RCMP seeking public's help following attempted theft of truck

The Saint-Léonard RCMP is seeking the public's assistance to identify two people of interest following an attempted theft of a truck in Madawaska Maliseet First Nation, N.B.

On June 4, 2022, between 3:30 and 4 a.m., two individuals entered the vehicle lot at a car dealership on Chief Joanna Boulevard. The individuals attempted to steal a pickup truck, but were unsuccessful. The pickup truck sustained minor damage as a result of the attempted theft.

The Saint-Léonard RCMP is releasing surveillance video photos of the two persons of interest, in hopes that someone from the public may recognize the individuals. The individuals are believed to be males, and are described as wearing dark clothing with face coverings.

Anyone who recognizes the individuals in the photo, or who witnessed suspicious activity on Chief Joanna Boulevard in the early morning hours of June 4, is asked to contact the Saint-Léonard RCMP at 506-473-3137.
