One Year Out Weekend of Action - November 3rd, 2020Last weekend we hosted one of the largest weekends of action this far out from a General Election in FDP history! Your hard work translated into over 1,300 registered voters in the first week of November, putting us on pace to make November our largest voter registration month to date. Here are our numbers as of Friday, November 8:
Tampa Blue Bench Regional TrainingWe've set a goal to double the number of trained Democrats running for office than we had in 2015. We have already trained over 100 candidates and are planning trainings across the state in the months leading up to summer filing deadlines.
Our next Blue Bench Training is November 16 in Tampa. This free, in-person training will focus on the fundamental aspects of running a campaign in Florida, including fundraising, messaging, digital communications, and field operations.
FDP Cyber Security Webinars
Trainings will be offered at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Each course will be 40-45 minutes.

The Alachua County Democratic Party is proud to sponsor our 6th Annual Black History Month Essay contest for middle schoolers in our community.
Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing the central role of blacks in U.S. history. The history of African Americans is full of fascinating stories, rich culture, strong leaders, and courageous acts.
For example, President Barack Obama, Martin Luther King, Jr., Ida B. Wells, Maya Angelou, Colin Kapernick, Lebron James, Beyoncé, or someone in your family or community-who has inspired you to greater heights? We have cited a few for your consideration, the list is endless for inspirational leaders, certainly not limited to the ones we have listed.
All middle schoolers in Alachua County are invited to submit an entry. Essays are capped at 500 words. No citations are required. Please include your name, school, email address and contact telephone on your essay.
