Hunton Andrews Kurth Advises Underwriters on $1 Billion SEC-Registered Senior Notes Offering by AEP Texas Inc.

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised the underwriters in connection with an SEC-registered offering by AEP Texas Inc. ("AEP Texas") of $1 billion aggregate principal, consisting of (i) $500 million aggregate principal amount of 4.70% Senior Notes, Series K, due May 15, 2032 and (ii) $500 million aggregate principal amount of 5.25% Senior Notes, Series L, due May 15, 2052. The transaction closed on May 18, 2022.

AEP Texas is a subsidiary of American Electric Power Company, Inc. ("AEP") and is part of AEP's transmission and distribution utilities segment. AEP Texas is engaged in the transmission and distribution of electric power to approximately 1,068,000 retail customers through retail electric providers in West, Central and South Texas.
