The Human Resources Department's mission is to provide excellent and highly responsive professional services, deliver innovative and timely services, provide leadership and attract and retain a highly talented and qualified workforce to meet the needs of the organization.

The Human Resource Department's (4 full-time and 1 part-time) dedicated professionals are responsible for the recruitment and selection of all City employees, labor relations with the City's 7 represented bargaining groups including sworn police and fire, administering the benefits and Workers' Compensation programs for City employees, maintaining the City's classification and compensation plan, administering the employee performance management, training and development programs and employee engagement, service and recognition.
