From phryctoriae to satellite and mobile telecommunications, the exhibits of the OTE Group Telecommunications Museum 'come to life' digitally with just a 'click'. The new Virtual Tour, available on the Museum's website, enables the digital browse into the Museum's permanent exhibitions, from anywhere in the country.

Through the Virtual Tour, digital visitors can browse the Museum's rooms virtually and learn about the exhibits through informational texts, explanatory videos, sound clips and creative activities. The virtual tour has four sections: the main collection, with exhibits on the history of telecommunications, call centers, with images and videos of female telephone operators in Greece in the 1960s, the development of mobile telephony, and the country's first TV studio, where the first live TV broadcast in Greece was made in 1966. Each section opens with an introductory video, with the actor Pygmalionas Dadakaridis.

The rich content of the Virtual Tour is an ideal digital learning tool, as it can be used by teachers and schools to convey information and knowledge during classes. Today, the Virtual Tour features some 100 multimedia objects - and we're constantly adding new ones so that digital visitors can discover them.
