4/24/24 Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle

(PEORIA, IL) Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at approximately 11:51 a.m. members of the Peoria Police Department's Special Investigations Division (SID), and members of the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force (GLRFTF) located a stolen vehicle associated with a wanted subject in the 1300 block of N. Flora.

During the course of this investigation, officers observed the vehicle driving away from the above location. Officers followed and observed the vehicle driving recklessly throughout the city. The vehicle stopped at a business in the 1100 block of W. Main

where the driver exited and went inside.

Officers approached the vehicle and made contact with the two passengers identified as 29-year-old Davion Q. Clark, and 20-year-old Kaamil H. O'Berry. Clark attempted to flee the vehicle but was quickly detained by police. Officers then went inside the

business and took 21-year-old Quinton L. Clemons into custody without incident.

During a search of Clark, officers located a loaded handgun on his person.

All three subjects were transported to the Peoria Police Department for interviewing purposes.

Clark was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Resisting Police, Possession of an Altered ID, and two Active Warrants.

Clemons was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Possession of Cannabis, Reckless Driving, and several Traffic Offenses.

O'Berry was later released.

Clark and Clemons were transported to the Peoria County Jail.
