Civic Center Construction and Parking

Construction for the Village Hall Plaza Remodel at 1000 Civic Center Drive will begin on April 24, 2024 and is scheduled for completion by end of September 2024.

From April 24 to June 10, 2024 Civic Center Drive will be closed. Traffic is being rerouted. Vehicle access to Niles Senior Center, Niles Family Services and Niles Family Fitness Fitness Center must use the Waukegan Road entrance to Civic Center Plaza. Handicapped Accessible parking for Post Office and Village Hall can use Oakton Street from Monday thru Friday (7:30 am - 5:30 pm only) and will detour through the Village Hall garage.

Trucks and vans must use the Waukegan Road entrance. There is no access from Oakton Street after 5:30 pm on Mondays through Fridays. There is no access from Oakton Street on Saturdays and Sundays.

Parking:

• The Senior Center parking lot (east of/behind the building) is for Senior Center visitors only.
• All Fitness Center members must use the fitness center parking lot.
• Handicapped accessible parking for the Post Office is temporarily on the west side of the Post Office building.
• Handicapped accessible parking for Village Hall is in the Village Hall garage.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Once the project is complete, Village Hall will have a fresh, modern look with ground level plaza for events, programs and leisure for everyone to enjoy. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we are building another great project for Niles.
