The Golden Gate Bridge will have overnight lane closures during the week to allow for Suicide Deterrent System construction. Drivers should expect to slow down around construction areas and may experience minor traffic delays during construction hours.
Please note: When the overnight lane configuration is set to one northbound and two southbound lanes, pedestrian access to the east sidewalk will CLOSE one hour earlier-at 8:00 p.m. during Pacific Daylight Time.
Overnight Monday, August 15, the GGB roadway will have 2 SB and 1 NB lanes open from 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Tuesday morning).
Overnight Tuesday, August 16, the GGB roadway will have 1 SB and 2 NB lanes open from 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Wednesday morning).
Overnight Wednesday, August 17, the GGB roadway will have 2 SB and 1 NB lanes open from 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Thursday morning).
Overnight Thursday, August 18, the GGB roadway will have 1 SB and 2 NB lanes open from 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Friday morning).
Overnight Friday, August 19, the GGB roadway will have 2 SB and 1NB lanes open from 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. (Saturday morning).
Please also note that the Sergeants' Office will close the West Sidewalk to bicyclists by 6:30 p.m. for the overnight lane closures.
