Bridge Data Centres (BDC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Chindata Group, awarded with (Malaysia Digital) MD Status by the Malaysian Government

Bridge Data Centres Malaysia III SDN BHD("BDC") was awarded with Malaysia Digital Status ("MD Status") by the Malaysian Government. The Malaysia Digital program ("MD") is to recognize the enterprises making special contributions to the digital economy development in Malaysia. The MD initiative is to drive Malaysia's digital economy through digital adoption among aspiring young entrepreneurs, companies and people, supporting local tech companies to become successful international players while attracting high-value digital investments from overseas.

Since the inception of BDC, it has taken early steps to enter the Malaysia market to build and operate world-class hyperscale datacentres to support international and local enterprises.Through its efficient delivery of infrastructure and operational excellence, BDC has emerged as the best of class data centres, accelerating Malaysia's digital transformation. The Malaysian Prime Minister personally awarded the inaugural MD Status to BDC.

commitment to grow and create positive impact to Malaysia's digital transformation."said Lim Dz Shing, President of Bridge Data Centres. BDC was one of the six enterprises that was recognized by the Malaysian Government with the MD Status.

In line with Chindata Group growth plans, BDC has already established 2 operating datacentres (MY01 & MY02) in the Kuala Lumpur region, 2 greenfield construction currently on-going (MY03 & MY06), both will be scheduled to go live since Q3 2022 successively.

MY06, BDC flagship customized hyperscale green data center campus in Johor, Malaysia, has attracted great industry attention. Leveraging and collaborating with Chindata Group's technical and supply chain expertise, the project opens a new mode of building data centres, utilising containerized building and facility modules as well as innovative cooling solutions to complete thefirst modular data center project in South East Asia with a PUE of 1.2.This is a significant milestone for BDC and Chindata Group with the ability to execute and deliver state of the art, innovative data centre projects to support BDC clients' growth in Malaysia.
