The State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China to visit Thailand during 4 - 5 July 2022

H.E. Mr. Wang Yi, State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, is scheduled to visit Thailand as guest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand during 4 - 5 July 2022. This visit will build upon the outcomes of the visit by H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, to Huangshan City, Anhui Province during 1 - 2 April 2022.

​The program of the State Councilor's visit to Thailand includes a courtesy call on H.E. Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha (Ret.), Prime Minister of Thailand, at the Government House, a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a luncheon hosted by the DPM/FM in honour of the State Councilor.

​Both sides will attach importance to the strengthening of relations between Thailand and China on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership this year and revitalising the economy from the COVID-19 pandemic and global situation through the promotion of cooperation in trade, including facilitation of the transport of agricultural products from Thailand to China, investment and connectivity, including the linking of China-Laos railway with Thailand's railway system, as well as cooperation in various multilateral frameworks, such as Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC), ACMECS, ASEAN-China, and the United Nations. The two sides will also exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
