The best tank crews of the EMD began preparing for the all-Russian stage of the Games-2021 competition Tank Biathlon in Transbaikal

The best tank crews of the Eastern Military District (EMD) have started preparing for the all-Russian stage of the Games-2021 competition Tank Biathlon of professional skills. Intensive training is conducted at the Borzya-Novaya training ground of the combined-arms army motorized rifle unit stationed in the Transbaikal territory.

Under the guidance of experienced mentors, military personnel perform practical exercises on driving combat vehicles with overcoming obstacles: trenches, track bridges, mine-explosive barriers, slopes, escarpments, and others.

After driving training, the crews of the T-72B3 tanks will begin firing tasks. They will fire a cannon, regular artillery shell, and a large-caliber machine gun at targets that appear imitating enemy tanks and low-flying helicopters.

The target environment and firing lines have been prepared at the tank firing range, as well as a special platform for adjusting sights and bringing weapons to normal combat.

In addition, the military personnel will be trained for the sports stage of the competition. It provides: running and carrying boxes of ammunition, throwing hand grenades, as well as overcoming mazes, wells, handrails and water obstacles.

The best tankers in the national team will go to represent the EMD at the all-army stage of the competition Tank Biathlon of the Games-2021, which will be held from 15 to 30 May this year in the Chelyabinsk region.
