Major ASW ships, Pacific Fleet, train to engage a submarine with depth bomb in the Sea of Japan

In the Sea of Japan in the waters of Peter the Great Bay, the search and strike force and the corvette Gromkiy conducted a joint exercise on the search and destruction of a submarine.

Small-size anti-submarine ships Koreyets and Metel operated as part of the search and strike force. The ships trained to search for a submarine of a mock enemy, which was one of the diesel submarines of the Pacific Fleet. The submarine was to avoid being detected by the ships.

Il-38 ASW airplane was involved to support the actions of anti-submarine ships.

Having detected the submarine, the ships Koreyets and Metel fired a salvo of depth bombs at the coordinates.
