The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation launches a special multimedia section dedicated to the fifth Main Naval Parade in the modern history of Russia

On the eve of the Day of the Russian Navy, which is traditionally celebrated on the last Sunday of July, a new multimedia section dedicated to the upcoming fifth Main Naval Parade has been opened on the website of the Russian Defence Ministry.

Visitors to the Internet portal of the military department will be able to get acquainted with the idea of holding and features of the parade on the Neva and on the Kronstadt roadstead, schemes of ship's line up and features of the air component of the solemn event.

In total, more than 50 ships, boats and submarines will be involved in the naval holiday on July 25 in St. Petersburg, including the missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov, the frigate Admiral Kasatonov, the corvette Stoyky, the nuclear submarine missile cruisers Knyaz Vladimir and Eagle, the large landing ships Minsk and Pyotr Morgunov. The ships of the Navies of India, Pakistan and Iran will also be involved in the parade. The historical part of the solemn event will be headed by the 54-gun battleship Poltava, recreated at the historical shipyard.

More than 40 pieces of aviation equipment will fly over the city in a parade formation. Among them are Su-33, Su-27, MiG-29 fighters, Su-24 front-line bombers, Su-25 attack aircraft, anti-submarine aircraft

Tu-142 and Il-38, Be-12 amphibious aircraft, pairs of Su-33 deck fighters, as well as Mi-8, Ka-31R, Ka-29 and Ka-27M helicopters.

In addition, a new section on the website of the Russian Defence Ministry will provide information in a convenient infographic form about the holding of naval parades on July 25 in the bases of the Russian Navy - Baltiysk, Vladivostok, Kaspiysk, Severomorsk and Sevastopol.

Internet users will also be particularly interested in the information presented in the section on the tactical and technical characteristics of equipment, including historical ones, involved in the Main Naval Parade.

The main naval parade will be held in St. Petersburg on the Navy Day on July 25 in the year of the 325th anniversary of the Russian Fleet. Naval parades will also be held in Severomorsk, Baltiysk, Sevastopol, Kaspiysk, Vladivostok and Tartus (Syria). In total, up to 200 warships of various classes, about 80 aircraft, more than 100 units of military equipment, up to 15 thousand military personnel and civilian personnel will participate in the parades.
