Certified Deaf Interpreters Participate in AMPHL Conference

The Association of Medical Professionals with Hearing Losses (AMPHL) will host their annual conference where hundreds of Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing healthcare professionals, including sign language interpreters, physicians and nurses, from around the world gather to share stories and learn about best practices, cutting-edge technology, and gain the resources to expand healthcare workforce diversity to improve patient care. AMN Healthcare Language Services is a proud sponsor of the three-day event being held at the University of Nevada Las Vegas on August 19^th-21^st, 2022. The theme for this year's conference is "Utilizing Technological Tools and Resources in Setting of a Pandemic for Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing Medical Professionals/Trainees".

Members from AMN Healthcare Language Services American Sign Language and Certified Deaf Interpreting teams will attend the AMPHL Conference to network with attendees and spread the word that we are hiring highly qualified ASL interpreters and Certified Deaf Interpreters.

The training, knowledge, experience, and skill that CDIs and ASL interpreters cohesively bring to patients and providers is something special and is critical in medical settings. There's a difference between language services providers (LSPS) having CDIs on their roster and the opportunity we have, with CDIs readily available, on demand, playing such an integral role in our culture and services.
