Military personnel of the EMD are preparing for the upcoming exercise ZA-PAD/INTERACTION-2021 with representatives of the PLA

Units of the motorized rifle unit of the Eastern Military District, stationed in Transbaikal, are preparing for the joint operational and strategic exercise ZAPAD/INTERACTION-2021. Russian servicemen have arrived on the territory of the People's Republic of China.

It is planned to conduct a reconnaissance of the exercise area and several training sessions - both separate and joint.

Earlier, during the negotiations organized by the head of the Department of international military cooperation of the Air Force, Colonel Ivan Taraev, representatives of the Russian and Chinese sides agreed on the procedure for the arrival of the military contingent of the Russian Armed Forces on the territory of the People's Republic of China, the composition of forces and means, the plan of the exercise, the order of logistics.

The personnel of the motorized rifle unit, the control apparatus, and the operational-tactical aviation unit will take part in the maneuvers from the EMD.

It is planned that the exercise will take place from August 9 to 14 at one of the PLA training grounds in the Ningxia-Hui Autonomous Region of China.
