DALLAS - ​​​​On Wednesday, Jan. 26, Dallas ISD will induct its fourth class into the district's Athletic Hall of Fame. The virtual ceremony will recognize and honor individuals who have made significant contributions to our athletics programs. This year's inductees include two track Olympians, a pair of top-four NBA draft picks, a PGA Championship winner, two NFL Pro-Bowl selections, a first-round WNBA draft pick, a four-sport prep athlete who helped lead his baseball team to a state championship, and a baseball coach who guided his team to 32 consecutive playoff appearances.

The ceremony will air at 6:30 p.m. on Dallas ISD's YouTube and Facebook pages.

Choose Dallas ISD phone bank
​​​​Dallas ISD families who are still looking for the right school for their child can join the Choose Dallas ISD phone bank at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29. Participants will receive information on the different specialty schools and programs in Dallas ISD and how to apply to those schools.

Vaccine opportunities for Dallas ISD families
To help stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community, we will continue to share testing and vaccine opportunities for eligible staff and students. At 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29, Frank Guzick Elementary School will host a vaccination clinic. Please visit www.dallasisd.org/covidvaccineclinics to view dates and times of future vaccination clinics.

Remember that fully vaccinated students between ages 5 and 11 can register for a $50 vaccination incentive until March 31.

Special Education Parent Symposiums
Dallas ISD's Special Services department will host three parent symposiums to discuss important special education topics throughout this semester. In addition to information sessions, attendees can share techniques for relaxation to promote self-care and positive mental health for families. The first of these events will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Friday, Jan. 28.
