Following a hugely successful first year, the Felixstowe Photo Competition has been officially launched today.

Get snapping and you could win £100 to put towards photographic equipment, plus an enlarged copy of your photograph.

The seaside town of Felixstowe is a unique, exciting and diverse location for photographic opportunities - seaside fun, beautiful gardens, huge container ships, historic buildings and rich wildlife habitats. Photographers of all ages and abilities are invited to submit their favourite shots into the competition, which is organised and supported by Visit Felixstowe, Felixstowe Town Council and the Landguard Partnership.

There are three themes to choose from: Active Felixstowe; Historic Felixstowe and Felixstowe Seasons. Entrants can submit their photograph to the competition by emailing [email protected]. Please include your full name, age, a telephone number and the theme you would like to enter. Closing date for entries is 12pm on Wednesday 25 March 2020.

The Mayor of Felixstowe, Cllr Nick Barber said: 'We were overwhelmed by the quality and diversity of pictures in the first year of the competition and can't wait to see what will be submitted this time around. The competition is a great way to promote and highlight the unique atmosphere, landscapes and attractions of Visit Felixstowe for great days by the sea.'
