The Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Azim Akhmedkhadjaev met with the Vice President of the Korean company LG CNS Woon Yul Jeong. During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the current state of information technologies of Uzbekistan in the light of ongoing reforms in the country, discussed issues of cooperation on supporting activities of the joint venture LG CNS Uzbekistan and further mutually beneficial cooperation and using the LG CNS's experience and capabilities.
LG CNS, founded in 1987, is a subsidiary of LG Group. Currently, the company is the largest system integrator in South Korea and a locomotive on promotion of e-government initiatives in the country. In addition, more than 60% of activities on implementation of information systems and software products of the electronic government of Korea accounted for the share of LG CNS.
According to the Ministry, the company also provides services in the field of information technologies, including consulting, system integration, network integration, business process outsourcing and information technologies. Joint venture LG CNS Uzbekistan on development of information systems and software products for e-government, and the real sector of the economy in Uzbekistan was established in 2014.
