Tables also include data relating to numbers of visas issued sponsored by the Scottish Government and the Welsh Government.
This is an ad-hoc release of management information and does not constitute an Official Statistics or National Statistics release. It relates to Ukraine Family Scheme and Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme: visa data published by the Home Office.

1. These data are provisional management information from live operational systems and are subject to change. The data have not gone through the same levels of quality assurance as official statistics.
2. These data are likely to include some duplicate records. As such they are a reflection of the information held in the system and may not be an exact record of the number of individuals who have been issued visas. Caution should therefore be exercised in using these figures.
3. Not all records of visas issued have a suitable postcode for mapping to upper or lower tier local authorities. The number of records excluded is about two per cent. Therefore these figures will not add up to the UK total published by the Home Office.
4. These data are the numbers of confirmed visa applications (noted as 'visa applications received' in Home Office publications), visas issued to come to or stay in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, and the number of persons that have arrived in the UK under the Homes for Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme, collated for operational purposes by the Home Office and Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities. Total visa applications received are based on confirmed applications. This includes applications where the applicant has attended an appointment at a visa application centre and given their biometric information, or where the applicant did not have to go to a visa application centre to give their biometric information (which was possible from 15 March 2022). The location recorded for Ukrainians arriving in the UK is not where they arrived when entering the UK but where they are placed. The Sponsorship Scheme is for visa applications from Ukrainians who wish to travel to the UK and who have named people in the UK willing to sponsor them.
5. These data do not contain numbers of visas issued through the Ukraine Family Scheme.
6. There is a known undercount in the Northern Ireland 'Arrivals into the UK' data. This is due to people being able to arrive into the Republic of Ireland and crossing the border into Northern Ireland, which are not counted in the current data feeds from Home Office. The Home Office are working with officials in Northern Ireland to understand the size of the undercount, and a solution to reduce it.
7. All data in this release have been assigned to local authorities or country based on the postcode of the sponsor's address, or of the accommodation address if the applicant is not planning to stay at the sponsor's address. The number of arrivals into the UK is therefore not necessarily reflective of the persons having arrived at the location noted in the table.
8. Some beneficiaries have indicated that either the Scottish Government or Welsh Government are their sponsor under the devolved government sponsor (also known as 'super-sponsor') element of the scheme. This is where Welsh and Scottish governments have undertaken to match beneficiaries without a named sponsor at the point of application, to a suitable sponsor in due course.
9. The numbers included in the tables include some visas issued where the ID numbers are not included in the list of visa applications received. The reasons for this are currently being investigated.
10. This information will usually be released at 9.30 each Thursday morning until further notice, although for the week beginning Monday 30 May, it will be released at 9.30 on Wednesday 1 June, due to the Jubilee Holiday on Thursday 2 June.
The Code of Practice for Statistics was published by the UK Statistics Authority in February 2018 to set standards for organisations in producing and publishing official statistics and ensure that statistics serve the public good. Whilst the data from the Homes for Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme are not designated as official statistics, the principles of transparency of high-quality analytical outputs to inform decision making and the public underpin this data release: a statement of compliance is available at the 'Voluntary compliance' tab of the spreadsheet of tables.
