Commemorative events dedicated to the 109th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in Luxembourg

On April 23, in Chapelle du Glacis of Luxembourg a liturgy dedicated to the memory of the martyrs of the Armenian Genocide was offered by Reverend Father Armen, pastor of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
Arpine Khachatryan, Chargé d'affaires of the Office of the Embassy of Armenia in Luxembourg, delivered remarks on behalf Ambassador Tigran Balayan, during which she expressed gratitude to the authorities of Luxembourg for recognizing and condemning the Armenian Genocide. She added that more than 100 years after the Armenian Genocide, the world witnessed another manifestation of the same genocidal policy and consequences of impunity, namely the ethnic cleansing of the Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh carried out by Azerbaijan.
In the context of preventing such crimes emphasizing the imperative to hold the perpetrators accountable, as well as the importance of utilizing all available tools by the international community, Ms. Khachatryan noted that Armenia will continue to work for the realisation of this narrative.

On April 21, as a part of the 15th World Religions Concert, "Dle yaman" on Armenian duduk was performed by Geghair Aleksanyan in the Cathedral Notre Dame of Luxembourg.

On April 24, within the framework of the Oktav, the largest religious event in Luxembourg, a prayer dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide was recited by Reverend Father Armen, the spiritual leader of the Armenian Apostolic Church in the Cathedral Notre Dame of Luxembourg.
The commemorative events of the Armenian Genocide were organized by the "Association Luxembourg-Arménie".
