MATSUI STATEMENT ON HOUSE PASSAGE OF FOREIGN AID PACKAGE

WASHINGTON, D.C.- Today, Congresswoman Doris Matsui (CA-07) issued the following statement after the House passed critical national security and foreign aid bills.

"Today, the House voted to comprehensively address our national security challenges across the globe and get crucial aid to those in need," said Congresswoman Matsui. "As we work to demonstrate America's leadership, we must stand with our democratic allies across the world. This package supports Ukraine in its fight against Russia, Israel as it faces threats from Iran and its proxies, and our allies in the Indo-Pacific countering China's aggression. It provides billions of dollars in urgent humanitarian assistance for the Palestinian people. America must maintain its commitment to global peace and the defense of democracy around the world. This action is long overdue - America's national security should never be subject to political games."
