Commissioners appoint new Senior Services Director

Congratulations to Cobb County's new Senior Services Director, Ioana Bovo-Nicolescu. She was officially appointed to the position at the regularly scheduled Board of Commissioners meeting after a recommendation by County Manager Dr. Jackie McMorris.

Bovo-Nicolescu has an extensive background with more than 15 years of experience in non-profits focusing on social services. She has coordinated and managed agency programs and operations, as well as writing and managing grant programs.

She joined Cobb Senior Services in 2016 as a Budget Specialist and Grants Manager before advancing to Human Services Division Manager in 2019.

Bovo-Nicolescu holds a bachelor's degree in Human Services and is expected to complete her master's in Public Administration this year. She also has a Gerontology Certificate from Kennesaw State University.
