Design standards for parks and public spaces (including furniture) will help guide future park, trail and public space design throughout Gainesville. The purpose is to create useful tools which define and describe the essential characteristics that make our public spaces safe, inviting and unique to Gainesville.
Design standards for wayfinding will guide future maps, amenities markers and signs throughout Gainesville's public spaces. The purpose is to create a wayfinding system that is consistent throughout the city and the University of Florida to make the navigation of spaces and the awareness of amenities easy for the public so they may make the most of a public park or space.
