Vishay Proximity, Ambient Light Sensors Available at TTI

Fort Worth, Texas - June 28, 2022 - TTI, Inc., a leading specialty distributor of electronic components, is now stocking the VCNL4030X01-GS08 family of Proximity Sensors from Vishay. These compact SMD products are targeted for medical, light industrial and specialty sensing applications and hand-held equipment where miniature size is critical.

Vishay's VCNL4030X01 integrates a proximity sensor (PS), an ambient light sensor (ALS) and a high-power IRED into one small package. It incorporates photodiodes, amplifiers and analog-to-digital converting circuits into a single chip by the CMOS process. The 16-bit high-resolution ALS is excellent for sensing capabilities with sufficient selections to fulfill most applications, whether dark or high transparency lens design. Both ALS and PS offer a programmable interrupt with individual high and low thresholds that offer power savings on the microcontroller.
