Stabbing Investigation Underway at Laurelhurst Park - Two People Injured

On Saturday January 13, 2018, at 7:15 p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to the report of a stabbing at Laurelhurst Park, located at 3601 Southeast Oak Street.

Officers responding to the scene learned that the stabbing occurred near Southeast Ankeny Street and Laurelhurst Place along the north side of the park.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located two 16-year-old males suffering from stab wounds. Both victims were transported by ambulance to a Portland hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers contacted a large group of juveniles associated with the victims and disturbance. Limited suspect information was obtained by officers, who were told the suspect is white or Hispanic male in his teens or early-20s.

Officers at the scene are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the stabbing. Detectives from the Assault Detail will take the lead on follow-up investigation.
