With increased traffic during peak hours, "left turns" in and out of businesses create traffic conflict, especially on long, major arterials.

Studies show during these peak hours, a right turn on your departure followed by a safe left turn can get you in your chosen direction safer.

Motorists can avoid taking unnecessary risks. Planning your trip or taking alternative routes can reduce traffic crashes and help with overall traffic flow.

From specific intersections such as Middle Tennessee Blvd. and New Salem Hwy to helping motorists navigate peak hour traffic, the "Traffic Minute" offers practical advice from traffic engineers and patrol officers.

The Murfreesboro Police Department and the City Transportation Department partner with CityTV to visually demonstrate traffic issues and provide advice to the motoring public.
