Strand Boulevard North of Immokalee Road Median Modification

Public Information Meeting

Wednesday, June 28, 2017

5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Collier County Growth Management Department's Transportation Engineering Division staff members are providing information in an open house format about a proposed median modification on Strand Boulevard at the first median north of Immokalee Road (map provided below). The meeting will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28 at The Club at The Strand, 5840 Strand Boulevard, Naples, Florida 34110. The gates into The Strand will remain open during the time of the meeting to allow all interested members of the public to attend.

Residents, business representatives and visitors are welcome to stop by to review the displays detailing the proposed project and to talk one-on-one with county staff. There will not be a formal presentation.

Design plans that are at the preliminary stage have been prepared showing proposed improvements designed to improve safety and roadway capacity. Currently the proposed plans are to close the first median on Strand Blvd. north of Immokalee Road and prohibit left turns out of Tavilla Circle (southernmost median crossover). Construction could occur this summer.

Two or more members of the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) may be present and may participate at this meeting. The subject matter of this meeting may be an item for discussion and action at a future BCC meeting.

For more information, call the Collier County Growth Management Department at 239-252-8192.
