RCHD Welcomes Jacob Clarke, MD as Clinic Supervisor

(Riley County, KS - May 23, 2022) Jacob Clarke, MD recently joined the Riley County Health Department as the new Clinic Supervisor. He started work Monday, May 16th. As Supervisor of the Public Health Clinic, Clarke will lead staff in addressing health needs in the Riley County community including reproductive health services, communicable disease surveillance and prevention, immunizations, and laboratory services. He will be responsible for planning, coordination, operation, and provision of the clinic.

"Jacob clearly has a passion for disease prevention and public health," said Health Department Administrator and Local Health Officer Julie Gibbs. "His academic history and work experience made him a great candidate for the role. I'm excited to see what new ideas he will bring to the department."

Originally from south central Kansas, Clarke graduated with a Medical Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita and earned a bachelor's degree in biology and microbiology from Kansas State University.
