Top Companies to Report Quarterly Earnings this Week | July 25-29

This week is one of the biggest earnings weeks for the financial year. Some of the top companies are scheduled to report their quarterly earnings this week including the big boys like Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Visa, Meta, and more.

These companies represent some of the most popular choices for investors all around the world, so it will be interesting to see what might happen, and what the companies will report to continue pushing the boundaries and change towards innovation.

Tuesday, July 26th

  • Visa Inc $V.N - Visa Inc. is expected to report earnings on July 26, after market close. The report will be for the fiscal Quarter ending Jun 2022 (Q3). For Q2 2022, the company reported revenue of $6.83 billion and earnings per share of $1.65, which was 5-8% above forecasts. For Q3 2022, revenue is expected to rise to $7.07 billion and earnings per share of $1.75.
  • Alphabet Inc $GOOGL.OQ - Alphabet will report Q2 2022 earnings after the close of the market on Tuesday, July 26. Analysts estimate EPS of $25.65 vs. $26.29 in Q1 FY 2021. Google Cloud revenue is expected to rise YOY. Revenue is expected to rise, but at a slower pace compared to recent quarters. At the same time, the company's earnings per share could rise by 1 cent to $1.29 in Q2.
  • Microsoft Corp $MSFT.OQ - Microsoft Corp. will announce earnings results on July 26 for the quarter ended March 31, 2022, compared to the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year. Analysts estimate adjusted EPS of $2.18 vs. $1.95 in Q3 FY 2021. Xbox content and services revenue is expected to rise YOY, but at a slower pace than the prior-year quarter. Total revenue is expected to post strong growth, but at a slower rate than in previous quarters. Earnings per share are also projected to grow by 9 cents, and the company's revenue is projected to grow by more than $3 billion.
  • Coca-Cola $KO.N - Coca-Cola Company is expected to report earnings on 26 July before the market open. According to the forecast, the consensus EPS forecast for the quarter is $0.67. The reported EPS for the same quarter last year was $0.68. By the way, over the past 3 quarters, the company's revenue grew by more than 8%, and earnings per share remained virtually unchanged. In the 2nd quarter of 2022, Coca-Cola expects higher earnings per share than in the past 3 reporting periods. This is a positive signal for investors.

The company's earnings could rise to $28.98 billion, which is higher than the last reporting period.
  • Boeing $BA.N - For their last quarter, Boeing reported earnings of -$2.75 per share. This reflects a negative earnings surprise of 957.69%. So, look out for BA's next earnings release on July 27, 2022. For the next earnings release, we expect the company to report earnings of -$0.08 per share, reflecting a year-over-year decrease of 120%.
  • Qualcomm $QCOM.OQ - Qualcomm Incorporated is expected to report Q3 earnings on July 27 after market close. The last year has been financially successful for the tech giant. However, the company is forecast to post earnings per share and revenue slightly lower in Q3 2022 than in the previous reporting period.

Thursday, July 28th

  • Apple Inc $AAPL.OQ - Apple has confirmed that its next quarterly earnings report will be published on Thursday, July 28th, 2022. The company's Q3 2022 revenue is forecast to drop significantly to $82.93 billion, more than $10 billion lower. Earnings per share could also fall more than 10%, according to consensus, due to logistics services and delays in iPhone and Mac production.
  • Amazon.com Inc $AMZN.OQ - Amazon's next earnings date is unconfirmed for Thursday, 28 July, after market close. The report will be for the fiscal Quarter ending Jun 2022. According to Zacks Investment Research, based on 12 analysts' forecasts, the consensus EPS forecast for the quarter is $0.15. The reported EPS for the same quarter last year was $0.76.
  • Pfizer $PFE.N - Pfizer, Inc. is expected to report earnings on 27 July before the market open. The report will be for the fiscal Quarter ending Jun 2022 (Q2). According to Zacks Investment Research, based on 6 analysts' forecasts, the consensus EPS forecast for the quarter is $1.84. The reported EPS for the same quarter last year was $1.07. Earnings per share, like the company's earnings, could also rise by more than 10% compared to the previous reporting period.
  • ExxonMobil $XOM.N - ExxonMobil is expected to report earnings on 27 July before the market open. The company could post about $18 billion in profit when it reports second-quarter earnings. Exxon estimated that changes in crude oil prices could lead to a boost of between $1 billion and $1.4 billion to second-quarter profits, while changes in gas prices could boost the bottom line by an additional $1.5 billion to $1.9 billion.
  • Procter & Gamble $PG.N - P&G confirmed its outlook for fiscal 2022 GAAP diluted net earnings per share growth in the range of six to nine percent versus fiscal 2021 GAAP EPS of $5.50. The Company continues to expect core earnings per share growth for fiscal 2022 in the range of three to six percent, versus fiscal 2021 Core EPS of $5.66. Accordingly, the report published on Friday, July 29 may confirm these optimistic forecasts.
