Chair Meeks Issues December HFAC Schedule

Washington, D.C. - Today, Representative Gregory W. Meeks, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released the schedule for the month of December,2021.

• Wednesday, December 1, 2021at 10:00 a.m., ET: The Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, and Global Human Rights will convene its members for a hybrid hearing entitled, "FY 2022 Budget and U.S.-Africa Relations".

• Wednesday, December 1, 2021at 1:00 p.m., ET: The Committee will convene its members for a closed briefing with U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield.

• Wednesday, December 1, 2021at 3:00 p.m., ET: The Committee will convene its members for a closed briefing on the Administration's Counterterrorism Strategy & Capability in Afghanistan.

• Thursday, December 2, 2021at 10:00 a.m., ET: The Subcommittee on Europe, Energy, the Environment and Cyberwill convene its members for a virtual hearing entitled, "Innovative Municipal Leadership in Central Europe: Founding Members of the Pact of Free Cities".

• Wednesday, December 8, 2021at 10:00 a.m., ET: The Subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific, Central Asia and Nonproliferationwill convene its members for a virtual hearing entitled, "Biosecurity for the Future: Strengthening Deterrence and Detection".

• Thursday, December 9, 2021at 10:00 a.m., ET: The Subcommittee on the Middle East, North Africa and Global Counterterrorism will convene its members for a virtual hearing entitled, "What's Next for Libya? The Path to Peace".
